What were the highlights of your wedding day?
It’s hard to choose a best part as it was all so fantastic, but some of the best bits for me were;
Arriving at the church and walking down the aisle. Saying our vows and having all our family and friends there to share it with us. Watching everyone’s faces while they listed to our amazing soloist Laura as we were signing our register. Getting ready with all my girls in the morning – I’ve never felt so calm in all my life. I wanted to bottle it and keep that feeling forever! And finally, dancing the night away with all our friends and family.
What was unexpected that you loved?
On the morning of the wedding, my Mum surprised me when she gave me my Grandma’s brooch which she had put on to a blue ribbon to tie around my bouquet as my something old, borrowed and blue. So thoughtful, there were lots more tears!
What are your fondest memories of your wedding day?
On leaving the church it just happened that we remained close to the doors and we managed to meet and greet all our guests, I was absolutely buzzing with excitement.
What's your top tip for brides to be?
Keep grounded and focussed on what you want and how you want your wedding to be. Don’t forget the main reason why you are marrying each other and last but not least always remember that no matter what happens you will have the most amazing day and nothing will change that.
Wonderful but incredibly overwhelmed. Getting married is the most wonderful feeling in the world and one I’ll never forget as long as I live.
